
Shipping Policy
ATS ships only to points within the continental United States. ATS will provide freight quotes based on information contained in the customers purchase order. Orders will ship freight collect, prepay and add, or 3rd party billing as specified. ATS chooses the carrier for prepay and add.

All freight inclusive scale packages are figured on delivery to a address with an actual loading dock and standard operating hours of 8-5.

Any charges we incur in addition to the standard delivery will be billed directly to you, due in net 15 days.
FREIGHT PRICING:
Our freight quotes include all freight and handling & support charges. While we attempt to negotiate market favorable rates, our company cannot guarantee that our negotiated rates will be the lowest.

CHANGES / SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Shipping changes in delivery specifications, or scheduling while in route, or customer’s failure to specify all delivery requirement(s) will result in an additional freight charges and are the responsibility of the customer.

A partial list of chargeable delivery specification requirements include:

Pre-delivery phone calls by carrier

Limited access delivery.

Residential or deliveries to farms or ranches (Carriers do not consider these as being commercial) -, schools, colleges, hospitals, hotels, etc. that do not have an actual loading dock

Deliverys to secured installations that require special escorts or inspections (military installations, construction sites, labs, etc.)
-
Lift-gate services.
-
Inside delivery.
-
Limited delivery times (i.e.; only between certain hours).

Weekend delivery. • Call before delivery notification.

Driver’s labor associated with off loading.

Additional chargeable changes during shipment include:

Re-delivery.
-
Storage.
-
Re-consignment.

Note: Drivers are under no obligation to assist with off loading unless specific previous arrangements are made.

To help alleviate additional charges being billed to you, if you have any doubts or questions, call us and we can get everything situated before shipping. There still may be some additional charges that need to be added, but if they are done beforehand they are much cheaper than if you are billed later.

Below are some additional charges that may need to be added to your order (these charges are standard if we know about it before, may cost more if billed after):

You do have a choice of either having the shipment delivered to a local business that does have a dock and normal manned shipping hours or picking the scale up at the local delivery hub for your area. There is no charge if picked up at the terminal if it is picked up within 24hrs of being received in at the terminal.

Pick-up Policy:
​
ATS will schedule a pick-up with customers prior to order completion
​
PICK-UP DELAYS: Please see Shipping Delays. Same rules apply.
​
PACKAGING OF PICK-UP ORDERS: Pick-up orders will be packed as standard unless otherwise specified on the purchase order.
Removal of the cartons and skids may be done by the pick-up party, after pulling away from the ATS dock. Proper disposal of cartons and pallets are the responsibility of the pick-up party.
PARTIAL PICK-UP: For multiple pick-up trips or dates, please submit separate purchase orders.
PICK-UP VEHICLE: The vehicle must be appropriate. Examples of an inappropriate vehicle include:
1. Too small a vehicle for the amount of items being picked up.
2. A vehicle lower than standard dock height; especially when pallets and large/heavy items are being picked
up.
3. Any vehicle lacking sufficient wall height to properly secure the load. We reserve the right to refuse the
release of merchandise to any pickup party utilizing a vehicle deemed inappropriate by ATS.
DAMAGE & SHORTAGE CLAIMS:

It is customers’ responsibility to inspect the entire shipment delivery and report issues to ATS within 5 days of receipt.

ATS accepts no responsibility for freight related issues reported 6 or more days after receipt of shipment.
​
3RD Party Shipments: ATS accepts no responsibility for freight related issues with third party carriers
​
VISIBLE DAMAGE:
• Note all damage on the delivery receipt before signing for goods.
• Keep a record of driver’s name and anyone the customer may talk with at the carrier.
​
CONCEALED DAMAGE: Original packaging must be kept for the carrier, or the claim will be voided.
FREIGHT CLAIM PROCESSING: Any claim against ATS or the carrier for damaged goods must include appropriate damage notation on delivery receipt, photos and signed verification within 5 days of delivery receipt.
